We offer in-school Speech and Language and Occupational Therapy screenings for students at schools. The purpose of the screening is to briefly assess and identify at-risk student’s strengths and needs in various developmental areas, and also to provide a framework for parents and teachers in regards to necessary follow-up services (e.g., further comprehensive assessment, ongoing therapy). A written summary will be provided after the screening.
Our therapists are able to provide term-time speech-language and occupational therapy sessions at schools. This school-based model allows therapists to collaborate regularly with students’ teachers and educational assistants. In order to provide a fully integrated service, therapists will attend meetings with teachers to discuss students’ progress, and progress reports will be provided at the end of each therapy block.
