Dr. Hennis Tse is a Registered Psychologist in Hong Kong and Canada (Ontario) with over 20 years of clinical practice experience working with children, adolescents, and families, including 10 years in Canada and more than a decade in Hong Kong. He is the Founder and Clinical Director of ChildPsy, where he leads a multidisciplinary team dedicated to supporting children’s learning, development, and emotional well-being.
Dr. Tse specializes in the assessment, diagnosis, and treatment of a wide range of academic, social, emotional, and behavioral challenges in children and adolescents. He is highly experienced in conducting comprehensive psychoeducational, intellectual, and gifted assessments and provides evidence-based recommendations to support diverse learning needs. His expertise and professionalism have led to frequent invitations to provide school-based consultation and professional training in Hong Kong, Canada, and China.
Educated in Hong Kong, the United States, and Canada, Dr. Tse brings a strong cross-cultural perspective to his clinical practice. Prior to founding ChildPsy, he worked as a school psychologist with two of the largest school boards in Canada—the York Region District School Board and the Toronto Catholic District School Board—where he supported students with a wide range of special educational needs. His clinical work has included supporting children with giftedness, autism spectrum conditions, learning disabilities, Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), selective mutism, oppositional behaviors, anxiety, depression, and developmental delays.
Dr. Tse’s clinical work is grounded in evidence-based practice and scientific research. His research on cross-cultural differences in children’s learning and socio-emotional development has been published in academic articles and leading professional journals. In addition to his clinical work, he has taught psychology and education courses at the university and college level for over a decade. He has served as a part-time lecturer at Western University (Canada), the Chinese University of Hong Kong, Tung Wah College, Seneca College, and Yew Chung College. He currently serves as an Honorary Field Supervisor for the Department of Psychology at the Chinese University of Hong Kong, supporting the training and development of future psychologists.
