Originally from the United States, Miranda has lived and worked in Hong Kong for roughly ten years. Coming from a background in writing, she worked as a journalist early in her career. From there, she worked as a children's book writer which eventually led her to teaching. She is a registered teacher in Hong Kong and currently teaches PI-P6 as a Language and Literacy Specialist. She has been working closely with many students including those with specific learning challenges (SpLD).
